How To Set Up Your Custom Domain
Connecting Your Custom Domain to Pillar
You can connect either your root domain (e.g., example.com ) or a subdomain (e.g., links.example.com ) to your Pillar store.
Follow the instructions below depending on which setup you prefer.
Option 1: Connect Your Root Domain (example.com)
Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar
Go to the website where your domain is registered (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, HostGator, Cloudflare, etc.).
Step 2: Open DNS Settings
Navigate to the DNS Management or DNS Settings section for your domain.
Step 3: Add an A Record
Create a new A Record with the following values:

| Type | A |
| Name / Host | @ |
| Value / Points To | 35.173.212.164 |
| TTL | Default or 1 hour |
Step 4: Email Our Support Team
After adding the record, send an email to: support@pillar.io
Please include:
- Subject line: "Custom domain connection"
- Your Pillar store link
- Your custom domain
Example:
Pillar Store: https://pillar.io/yourname Domain: example.com
Step 5: We Complete the Setup
Our team will configure your domain and enable SSL on our end. Once everything is ready, we’ll notify you when your domain is live.
Option 2: Connect a Subdomain (links.example.com)
If you prefer using a subdomain, such as links.example.com , follow these steps.
Step 1: Log in to Your Domain Registrar
Access the registrar where your domain is hosted.
Step 2: Open DNS Settings
Navigate to the DNS Management section.
Step 3: Add an A Record
Create a new A Record with the following values:

| Name / Host | links |
| Value / Points To | 35.173.212.164 |
| TTL | Default or 1 hour |
You can replace links with any subdomain you prefer (for example: bio , store , or shop ).
Step 4: Email Our Support Team
After adding the record, send an email to: support@pillar.io
Please include:
- Subject line: "Custom domain connection"
- Your Pillar store link
- Your custom subdomain
Example:
Pillar Store: https://pillar.io/yourname Domain: links.example.com
Step 5: We Complete the Setup
Our team will configure your domain and enable SSL on our end. Once everything is ready, we’ll notify you when your domain is live.
