How to Create a Custom Payment Plan in Pillar

Now, you can give your customers the flexibility they deserve with Pillar custom Payment Plans*! This powerful features lets you offer payment plans so customers can pay in manageable installments, making your products more accessible to everyone.

*Payment Plans are only available for accounts integrated with Stripe.

You will get paid out in installments as they’re charged to the customer.


Custom payment plans are available in all countries where Stripe accepts payments:


How to enable Custom Payment Plans

  1. Navigate to "My Store" tab
  2. Choose the "Checkout" tab
  3. Scroll down to "Set a Price" section
  4. Click the toggle "Accept Payments Plans" to enable
  5. Fill out the following field:
    1. Payment Plan Price - total price of the product (this should match your set price)
    2. Payments Repeats - cadence of installments
    3. Number of Payments - total number of installments

For example, for a product total price of $20, and you customize payment plans to be charged on a daily basis over 4 days, your customer will pay 4 payments of $5 each.

  1. Click "Publish" to update your checkout settings.

Your customer will now be able to see your custom payment plan option on your Pillar store checkout page.
